Kurukshetra University: 63 Assistant Professors on contract basis in different disciplines

Required 63 Nos. of Assistant Professors on contract basis in different disciplines for the session 2012-13 upto 31.05.2013 or till the academic session is over or regular appointments are made, whichever, is earlier. Number of positions may increase or decrease. The reservation of positions will be as per State Government policy. The qualifications will be same as prescribed for the post of Assistant Professor by the UGC / State Govt./ AICTE/ University norms. However, if eligible candidates are not found available on interview the condition of NET/SLET/ Ph.D/ M.Tech. etc. may be relaxed. No T.A/ D.A will be paid for attending the interview. However, the writ petitioners are at liberty to appear in ‘Walk-in-Interview’.


1. The posts which the various writ petitioners were holding, have been kept vacant as per orders of the Hon’ble Panjab & Haryana High Court, Chandigarh.
2. The remuneration for the eligible candidates is Rs.21600/- (consolidated) per month. However, Rs.15000/-(consolidated) per month for those in whose cases the condition of NET/SLET/Ph.D/ M.Tech. etc. is relaxed.
3. The workload in respect of Assistant Professor on contract basis in the subject of Urdu is 10 hours per week whereas the full workload of the position is 16 hours per week. Hence, the payment of remuneration will be inproportionate of the workload which is Rs.13500/- in case of eligible candidate and Rs.9375/- in case of the candidate whose qualification are relaxed.
